Bernard M. Corbett grew up in Stoneham, Mass. A 1978 graduate of Stoneham High, Corbett earned an undergraduate degree in political science from Boston University in ’83, and as a student began offering on-air color commentary during Terrier radio broadcasts.
Bernie is currently in his 35th year as the voice of Boston University Hockey and his 22nd year as the voice of Harvard Football. Bernie broadcast Boston University Football from 1983, 1984-97 first as color analyst and later doing play-by-play in 1996-97.
For the last decade, Bernie has hosted the Inside series of podcasts covering three of the six D-1 college hockey leagues: Hockey East/ECAC/Atlantic Hockey along with Boston University Hockey and Harvard Football. I’m the voice of BU Hockey for 30 plus years.
I have seen it all from this legendary college hockey program: Future NHL stars cut their teeth, witness the Terrier’s win multiple National Championships, and legendary hockey coaches.
I have been the longtime radio voice for Harvard Football on the radio which airs on 106.1 Bloomberg Radio in Boston. Every Friday on Bloomberg Radio during drive time, I promote the upcoming Crimson matchup and each week I host the Inside Harvard Football podcast along with a weekly interview with head coach Tim Murphy.
